Summate Announces Collaboration with Diamond Orthopedic for ScanReady and Indexed Sets and Trays

Newburyport, MA. Summate Technologies and Diamond Orthopedic today announced a formal collaboration to introduce digital and indexed sets and trays for Diamond’s unique and patented orthopedic screw technology.  Under the agreement, Summate will incorporate its patented ScanReady™ and OrthoIndex technology and software into Diamond Orthopedic’s line of unique faceted bone fixation sets and trays.  The system will work with Summate’s Velocity OR scanning solution at Diamond Orthopedic customer sites to simplify implant documentation and customer inventory control and data.

“We are excited to work with Diamond Orthopedic to bring supply chain automation and all its benefits to the orthopedic industry.  Summate ScanReady and OrthoIndex technology, combined with Diamond Orthopedic implant sets and trays, will provide benefits to customers as well as solve many of the field inventory challenges that currently exist for device OEMs.  Streamlining the “bill only” payment system also reduces commerce friction and paperwork.  It’s time to bring the orthopedic industry up to date with digital management of field assets. Diamond Orthopedic is an excellent, forward-thinking partner for us” commented Phil Sayles, CEO of Summate Technologies.

The initial plan for the partnership is to develop a core line of OrthoIndex Diamond Orthopedic sets and trays for deployment at strategic ambulatory surgery center partners.
